Finishing on Common Final Blends (-nd, -ng, -nt, -ft, -xt, -mp). Test will be given on Wednesday, 3/25 during zoom call 11:00am and 5:00pm

This week students will practice the skills that they learned last week with a new story. The story this week is "Whose Home Is This?". This story can be found in Journeys: Unit 2: Nature Watch, Lesson 6 on page 210 after the "Animals Building Homes" story. All worksheets this week will be complete by referencing "Whose Home is This?"

• Genre: Informational Text (gives you facts about a topic. As you read look for: photos and headings/ facts and details about a topic)

Although Reconciliation has been suspended, I still want students to learn and prepare themselves for this sacrament. We will be going through a series of sessions for students to learn and reflect on the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

2. Reading

Today, you are going to choose from the stories you've already read: "Animals Building Homes" or "Whose Home is That?" and compare/contrast it to another informational text "Polar Bears". First you will watch the read a loud for "Polar Bears" using the link below. Then use a Venn Diagram to compared and contrast the two stories based on their text and graphic features shown in their stories. I want to you compare/contrast if they have features like glossaries, photos, charts, maps, headings, labels, bold print, etc. Also, compare/contrast the main ideas of the stories. Below is a refresher on comparing and contrasting.
