My work deals with understanding microbial communities of Lonar Lake and isolation of halophiles which can tolerate high salinity as well as alkalinity. Further, I plan to investigate these halophiles for their applications.
I am studying the microbial ecology and functionality of the urban and peri-urban rivers using high-throughput sequencing technologies. In addition, I am also involved in designing microbial consortia for efficient bioremediation and waste valorization
My work is focused on economical and cost effective production of γ-PGA biopolymer by novel bacterial strains, scale-up and it's applications
My research work deals with the metagenomic aspects of Ganges River to decipher the autochthonous microbes and their functional potentials.
My role is to analyse genomics and metagenomics data from our lab. In addition to this, I also help in interpretation informatics data mostly from Nanopore sequencing platform.
I am an industry sponsored fellow and I use combination of culture based and metagenomic approaches for isolating cellulolytic microorganisms and their enzymes for efficient hydrolysis of LCBs, strain development and fermentation.
My role is to carry out molecular and morphological identification of microbial cultures. Additionally, I also carry out Microbial culture maintenance and lyophilization
