There are a wide range of dietary needs and preferences, so we will not be providing lunch. You will have one hour to go out and grab lunch to eat on site, eat a packed lunch, or grab a bite nearby. Please ensure you are back on site and ready to begin promptly at 1 PM.
That's okay! This training is designed to provide strategies and information for people with a wide variety of experiences, so you don't need to come into the room with answers. Felt Safety is one way we can describe the sense of safety we get from our body-- the feeling that we are physically, emotionally, and mentally safe. There is a lot of neuroscience around what happens in our minds and bodies based on how safe we feel at any given moment, and the reasons we feel safe may not be as clear-cut as you think. You'll learn all about it!
We'll provide every participant with a Felt Safety Manual they can use to follow our presentation, take notes, and jot down questions. You can bring separate note-taking materials if you are so inclined.
We welcome other team members at the remaining training events the rest of the year! If you have already completed this training and want to learn more, please check out our Two-Day Foundations of Resilience training in November or April. We'll dive in-depth into the neuroscience of human behavior, the research that informs these strategies, and some of the most common challenges seen when trying to support the development of resilience.
