MSc Program Curriculum
The MSc program in Biological Sciences has a unique curriculum with all major core courses with a built-in laboratory/hands-on component. Additional unique aspects include a focus on Mathematical/Quantitative Biology and Techniques in Molecular Biosciences. After core coursework in the first two semesters, students will have a minor project and interdisciplinary electives in the third semester. Minor projects will be done by associating with groups at KSBS working on diverse aspects of Biological Sciences. The last semester will be attributed to Major Project / Internship, which can be performed at KSBS, other academic units @ IITD, other academic institutes, or Industry in India or abroad. The semester-wise distribution of credits/courses are provided below.
