• Delayed, but a wonderful Welcome for the first batch of students on 30th Sept 2024

• 18th July 2024: We welcome the first batch of MSc students at KSBS. The orientation program for MSc and PhD/MSR students is held in the Lecture Hall Complex.

• JAM2024: IITD MSc Biological Sciences added as a new program!

• 1st March 2024: 169th Faculty Board meeting of KSBS constituted the MSc coordination committee, chaired by Prof. Manidipa Banerjee (MSc Coordinator) with Professors MBM, TKN and SK as members. 

• The 226th meeting of the Senate of IIT Delhi held on 22nd November 2023 approved the MSc Biological Sciences Program.

• The 55th meeting of the Board of Academic Programmes, IIT Delhi held on 8th November 2023 approved the MSc Biological Sciences Program proposal from KSBS.

• The Board of Educational & Research Planning (BERP) in its 121st meeting held on 19th April 2023 approved the MSc Biological Sciences Program proposal from KSBS.

• 4th January 2023: External review panel consisting of members from Industry and Academia reviewed the MSc program proposal. All suggestions were incorporated by the MSc committee & faculty board.

• A revised proposal for MSc in Molecular Biosciences, including admission modalities and minimum eligibility criteria approved by the KSBS Faculty Board in the 160th meeting held on Nov 14, 2022.

• A revised proposal for MSc in Molecular Biosciences discussed by the KSBS Faculty Board in the 157th meeting held on Sept 14, 2022.

• 20th May 2022: 150th FB meeting takes stock of MSc program updates

• 13th Sept 2021: 138th FB meeting of KSBS - updates and planning for BERP proposal

• In its 134th meeting held on 26th March 2021, KSBS reinitiated the MSc Committee activities and added Professor Anita Roy, Shilpi Minocha and Saurabh Raj as additional members.

• 11th Sept 2020 (Faculty Board meeting #125) KSBS Faculty Board halts the MSc program in view of the uncertainties of NEP proposals

• KSBS Faculty Board request faculty members to provide course templates after discussion of the program in its 117th meeting held on 26th Feb 2020.

• First draft proposal for MSc in Biological Sciences placed in front of the KSBS Faculty Board in the 114th meeting held on 2nd Dec 2019.

• 22nd July 2019: First meeting of the MSc Course Curriculum Committee.

• The KSBS Faculty Board, in its 106th meeting held on 26th June 2019, constituted "MSc Course Curriculum Committee" to design and finalize the curriculum and structure of an MSc program. The committee members were Professors M. Banerjee (Chairperson), V. Perumal, Ashok K. Patel, Tapan. K. Nayak and M.B. Menon (Convenor).
