ELA:

• Independently read! The only way to get better at reading is by reading! Encourage your student to read out loud to you. Ask them questions about what they've read! 

MATH:

• PRACTICE YOUR MULTIPLICATION FACTS! PLEASE! 

  • Your student NEEDS to have their multiplication facts memorized. I recommend purchasing flash cards from Walmart or Dollar Tree and having them practice a few minutes each day. You may also quiz them any time you're in the car! Math will be 10x easier for your student if they KNOW their multiplication facts. There is a multiplication chart in each student's folder which should be frequently used as a study tool! 

• Allow your student to practice writing and counting money/ using coins to get familiar with decimals. 

• I have LOTS of helpful games & videos on the other tabs of this website! Please encourage your student to use them! (:

SCIENCE:

• Go on a hike with your student! Discuss weathering and erosion!
