Suggested Grades or Age Group: Blooket can be used for all grade levels!
Subject Areas or Purpose: You can find or create Blookets for any subject area or purpose. It can be used for educational purposes such as practicing a specific standard, but could also be used for fun such as holiday activities or a brain break.
Description: Blooket is an online platform that can be used for educational games and quizzes. Once you choose a quiz from a variety of pre-made options, or you have made your own quiz, you choose a game mode to play. There are many game modes that you can choose from, which change the course of the game slightly. The students individually join the game from their own device using a code. This is a free resource that is highly engaging for students.

Ideas for Use: At an elementary level, I often use Blooket to engage my students in practicing the following skills.
Basic math facts
Identifying parts of speech
Comparing numbers
Identifying shapes
Reviews: I personally love using Blooket with my students! It really engages the students in their learning. They love getting to choose different game modes to play.
Privacy: Students do not have to log into anything to play. They simply type in a code that the teacher displays on the screen.

Suggested Grades or Age Group: Kahoot can be used for all grade levels!
Subject Areas or Purpose: Kahoot can be used for all subject areas or topics. There are a variety of premade Kahoots to choose from, but you can also create your own with whatever content you would like.
Description: Kahoot is an online interactive quiz platform that allows students to compete against one another. The students are given a question and then a selection of multiple choice answers. The faster they answer a question with accuracy, the more points they earn. After each question, the students see the correct answer and an updated leaderboard to build competition.

Ideas for Use: Kahoot is a great way to review for a quiz or test. It would also be a great way to practice vocabulary words, by providing the definition of a word and having students select the correct vocabulary word. This could be used across content levels.
Reviews: I love using Kahoot as a way to review material with my students. It is fast paced and builds excitement as the students see themsleves move up and down the leaderboard after each question. It does show a graph of how many students selected each answer, so it's a good way to stop and review the correct answers with the class, if several students answered incorrectly.
Privacy: To make a Kahoot, you must log in with an account, but students can play Kahoot using a code without having an account.
Digital Tool Name: Gimkit
Suggested Grades or Age Group: I would recommend Gimkit be used for grades 4th-8th.
Subject Areas or Purpose: Gimkit can be used for any subject area, but I recommend using it for math.
Description: Gimkit allows students to play a variety of games while working in teams, by yourself or as a whole group to accomplish the objective. Each game requires "energy" in order to play. In order to gain energy, you must answer the questions correctly.

Ideas for Use: I reccomend using it to review math skills, especially to practice basic math facts.
Reviews: My students love Gimkit! It is very engaging for them, especially with a vareity of game modes to choose from.
Privacy: Gimkit does not require students to log in to an account to play. They can join by simply entering a code that the teacher displays.
Digital Tool Name: Wordwall
Suggested Grades or Age Group: I would recommend this for a variety of age groups, but mostly for elementary and middle school age students.
Subject Areas or Purpose: I have used it most often for ELA, but it could be used for any subject area. The purpose is to review educational skills in a more engaging way.
Description: Wordwall is an online platform for students to participate in interactive games to practice a variety of skills. There are several interactive templates that you can choose from for your students to play. Students play on their own, but do get a score that they can compare to classmates to build competition.

Ideas for Use: I personally have used Wordwall several times for my students to practice reading skills such as vocabulary practice and other word related skills such as parts of speech. It's a great way for students to learn vocabulary words by playing a game.
Reviews: My students love this website! One of their favorite game modes is the game show quiz. I love that I can choose from already made games or make my own. Once you have the content created, students can change the game modes to practice the same content in a variety of ways.
Privacy: Students can play Wordwall activities without logging in by using a link to the game or a provided code.
