Overview

What do the inventors of the hearing aid, the water filter and the telephone all have in common? The answer is simple; each person was not only innovative, but they all used their intelligence to make the world a better place for everyone. At M.S. 935 those are the types of individuals we are preparing our students to become.

Our students will take their classroom and regular life experiences and apply them by solving real-world issues. Students will engage in inquiry based (STEM) activities, that will require them to identify problems, think critically and find solutions for these issues. Students will be immersed in a flexible learning environment that only holds them to the highest expectations. This will provide a flexible learning environment where they'll receive the social-emotional support and education necessary to build character and respect for their peers and their community. Our vision for our students will combine innovation, creativity and compassion which will provide them with the tools to be forward thinkers.

Our Mission

Our mission at M.S. 935 is to provide students with a well-rounded, rigorous, inquiry-based education that is rooted in STEM. Staff, parents and students will work collaboratively to ensure that students have the tools and skills necessary to engage in a curriculum that allows students to continue to be innovative and inquisitive, while maintaining their path to college and career readiness regardless of the medium in which they are learning. We will continue to provide a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment for all students via traditional and remote learning platforms so that our students will become the problem solvers of tomorrow.

Our Vision

The students of M.S. 935 will take their classroom, remote learning and regular life experiences and apply them to solving real-world issues. Students will engage in inquiry based (STEM) activities, that will require them to think critically while still being creative. Students will be immersed in a flexible learning environment, that provides structure and positive mental stimulation to warrant growth for future excellence.
