Hello students and parents! I am Ms. Stone and I am so excited to be your history and social studies teacher this year!

Here is some information about me!

I was born in Utah, but my whole family is from Texas so I am a Texas girl through and through! I attended Mountain View High and Orem High and graduated in 2017. I recently got married in 2019 to my husband Daniel Albrethsen. I have always wanted to be a teacher, and education is something that I am very passionate about. I hope you all leave my class loving history and social studies as much as I do! Of course, I also hope we have a lot of fun this year. 

 After graduating from Orem High I got accepted to the marine biology program at Hawaii Pacific University, but after some soul searching I realized teaching was my true passion in life! SO! I studied at Utah Valley University. I have my Associate's degree in Humanities and Political Science, and my Batchelor's degree in History and Social Studies Education. During my studies, I traveled to some amazing places and I can't wait to share with all of you the people that I met, the cultures I was able to learn about, and the amazing food I got to eat!

I now know that I want to teach around the world and connect with all different kinds of students! I accept all people no matter what background, race, gender, or religion. When you enter my class you will know that it is a safe space where we can all learn and grow from one another.
