Cruisin' around the country!

Our students are currently on a unit that connects all of the subjects called cruisin' around the country. During this unit they will learn about different countries and in the end will choose one country to research and make a project on.

What your student is learning in each subject

Math

In Math your student is researching the population of different countries and comparing them. They will also be ploting the data on a graph. Over all this will help with their Interpreting data skills

Literacy

In literacy your student is making a presentation for the class about a specific country. They are also reading a historical text about the country which they are researching. They will add the information they are learning in the text and other subjects in their presentation.

Social Studies

In social studies we are learning about the geographic location, natural resources, environmental, and cultural features. The students will also be comparing and contrasting historical events from different countries.

Science

In science we are learning about the different animals in each country. We will be discussing the migration patterns of the animals based on environmental factors.

They will be integrating information learned in all four subjects and additional research into their presentation!
