Working at PS 287 over the last four years has been challenging, yet rewarding. Principal Bishop allowed me to explore my vision of what a school social worker means to me. She also challenged me in areas that I had no interest before working at PS 287. Engaging with our students, learning what they love, has helped me in re-discovering parts of myself that I had lost touch with as a professional and as a person. I am grateful to have been able to make a difference for someone while I am here. I am ready to see what the future holds as I continue to explore my potential as a school social worker and creative moving forward.
