Students will have the opportunity to work with materials that expands and reinforces their learning. They will have access to materials such as legos, abc letters, markers, crayons, white boards, shapes, counters, etc. that would be used as support during lessons and to work in small groups.
In order to provide the best learning experience for students, lessons will be taught with an "I do", "You do", "We do" approach with the assistance of technology. Students will be modeled how to work on an activity while also giving them the opportunity to assist during the lesson. Materials to achieve interactive learning will include:
Read alouds
Gamification
Answering practice sheets on touchscreen
Students will have the space to learn from their peers as discussions and group activities will be an important part of their lessons. Students will:
Engage in conversation
Share opinions and ideasÂ
Provide feedback.
Work as a group to achieve expected goals
Students will have the daily classroom routine displayed with visuals on the wall. Supplemental tools like timers and transition songs would be incorporated to keep the flow of classroom routine.
Students will be provided with a clear structure and schedule to enhance their learning. During the first half of the day the focus would be ELA and the second half would be designated to Math/ Science/ Social Studies.
