Wondering what to do about your child's English Language Arts (ELA) studies as we weather the COVID-19 storm? Wish that your student had access to more focused and personalized instruction that aligns with their most current coursework and the coursework planned for them this spring and next year? Want an educator who can balance socio-emotional needs with academics? You've come to the right place.
Without focused ELA instruction, writing stamina wanes and critical reading skills in literature and non fiction texts lose clarity and sharpness. Students may develop gaps in important learning goals like forming argument and analysis, skills that need nurturing and growth each developmental year. Perhaps most importantly, students may not find solace, freedom and meaning on printed pages as well as blank ones.
Jacque Fitzgerald M.Ed., or as her students call her Ms. Fitz, has 10 years of experience teaching English Language Arts and crafting original curriculum that speak to students' interests, experience and passions. She understands that in order to master the skills students need to be thriving readers and writers, consistent instruction is imperative. Her specializations include, AVID, reading and writing workshop, International Baccalaureate (IB), and creative writing.
Things might look a little different since you were here last. Parents reached out to me very quickly upon launch, and I made some additions and adjustments based on demand. Feel free to reach out to me with questions! -- Ms. Fitz :)
