Steps:
Choose an onomatopoeia word from the list below
Draw the word using block or bubble letters
Are your letters all CAPITAL or all lower case, or do they change from lower to UPPER or UPPER to lower
Is there an exclamation point (!)
Draw the sound your word would make (pages 5 and 6)
You can look at the chart for ideas or make up your own
Choose a color scheme to color in your project
Primary Colors: reds, yellows, blues
Secondary Colors: oranges, greens, violets/purples
Tertiary Colors: red orange, yellow orange, yellow green, blue green, blue violet, red violet
Warm Colors: reds, oranges, yellows, pinks, peaches
Cool Colors: greens, blues, violets/purples
Complementary Colors: Reds & Greens, Oranges & Blues, Yellows & Violets, Red Oranges & Blue Greens, Yellow Oranges & Blue Violets, or Red Violets & Yellow Greens
Neutral Colors: white, gray, black, brown
Your word/sound should fill the space. Nothing small!!
Create a bold outline for your letters and “sounds”
Add color using your own art materials OR using Google Draw/AutoDraw
Every part of your word/sound needs colored neatly using the color scheme of your choice
Going above and beyond: add different lines and patterns to your project
