Your Job:

1. Watch the Counting 1-5 video by Kids Academy.

2. Use the tens frame to practice counting and determine why it is that number.

1. • ex: "I know that the top line has five boxes. There are 2 red chips in 2 boxes. It is 3 away from being 5 because there are 3 empty boxes."

3.Pick a virtual manipulatives to practice counting and determine why it is that number.

1. • ex: "I pulled out five unifix cubes. I know that it is 5 because in my mind I first saw 3 then counted 2 more"

4. Practice with at least 3 different types of manipulatives.

5. Find 5 items in your home. (ex: uncooked noodles, toy cars, paper clips, teddy bears)

6. Create a Flipgrid response teaching your class how you learned to count and what method you used to determine the number present.

7. Go to the Assessment page and complete the quiz.

8. Go to the Resource page and play the interactive counting games for more practice.
