About Me
My strong family roots and personal connections brought me to Lubbock and Texas Tech, and I have always wanted to work in a field where I could help others and constantly be learning. Teaching is the perfect fit for that! I was born in Abilene, Texas and lived in a small town called Baird, Texas up until I began attending college. I was an active member in my school and competed in Basketball, Softball, and UIL.
As a teacher, I want to create a safe and encouraging environment to learn in. Everyone should have access to a place where they feel secure and confident in their abilities. I tend to favor progressivism, a student-centered style of learning. This style of learning empowers students to facilitate their own learning and is focused on the creation of products and projects. It is more concerned with the student themselves, rather than myself or the content.
