welcome

About Me:

My name is Caitlin Parmley and I am very thrilled that you are joining us at Bell Elementary! I am from Monticello, KY and a Wayne County Alumni - Go Cards! I graduated from Western Kentucky University in the fall of 2019 with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Since graduating, I have been working as a substitute, full-time, at Bell Elementary. This will be my first year as an official teacher and what better way to start than with 1st grade! I am SUPER excited to begin this journey with your child!

Most children think that teachers live at school, but we truly do have a life outside of the school building. Shocking, right?! When I am not teaching or planning, I am spending time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors, trying new recipes, or working on a DIY project. :)

I truly cannot wait to get to know you and your child! Bell Elementary and I are very ecstatic to have you with us!

Ms. Caitlin's Classroom

Welcome to 1st grade! I am so excited to have you here as a student and a parent! We are going to accomplish many great things this year! :)

In my classroom, each child is put first - academically and personally. Your child will grow in many different ways throughout the school year. Their knowledge will grow along with their role as a citizen. I personally believe that both are equally important in order to succeed in life.

I also believe that in order for a student to grow academically they must have a safe and positive learning environment. Therefore, students are expected to follow all classroom and school rules. These rules ensure that students are safe and learning at their fullest potential. Check out the tab that says "expectations" for more details!

I also believe that it is important to stay connected with parents frequently to keep you updated on your child and what is happening in our classroom. I do this by sending out newsletters, posting announcements and assignments on Google Classroom, keeping in touch through ClassDojo, email, or a phone call. (links to each will be provided in the "resource" tab) If you ever have any concerns or questions, please feel free to reach out to me through ClassDojo, preferably in the morning before school begins or during my planning time and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Again, I am so HAPPY to have your child in my classroom! :)
