High school students can start taking college courses outside of high school for COLLEGE Credit. Review Steps and expectations

Federal Aid
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA)
U.S Citizen, Permanent Resident, Eligible Non-Citizen, & T visa Holder
California Dream Act Application (CADAA)
Undocumented students, Valid or Expired DACA, U visa Holder, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), or meet non-resident exemption
State Aid
To be eligible for state aid students MUST submit a CADAA OR FAFSA application before they graduate
University Grants
Each school determines the aid you're eligible for based on your award letter from your FAFSA or CADAA
Scholarships
Depending on your school, location, or major etc. there are various scholarship opportunities. Speak to your college and career tech about opportunities
Loans
To be eligible for loans (if needed) you will need to have a FAFSA or CADAA application on file. Universities also have there own loans based on your College aid application
Now you see why it's important to apply for FAFSA or CADAA! Its free and doesn't hurt you. If you need assistance please attend one a Cash for College Night at your school!

Reminder Registration dates vary by grade level!
10th - 12th grade are able to register as Early as Decemeber 22nd if the student is processed by Ohlone College and completed ALL Next steps.
9th graders are able to register the day classes start on January 26th, 2026 if all steps are completed.
9th grade student will need to email professors for an add code for opportunities to particiate in the courses they choose.
Early College is an opportunity NOT a guarentee.
