Week #9 - Stand-Up Puzzle
Sand and decorate the basswood Stand-Up puzzle.
This week the student will sand the stand-up puzzle and decorate it with markers.
Stand-Up Puzzle
The student will sand the stand-up puzzle to a smooth finish and decorate it using markers or Sharpies. Several options or patterns for decoration design are presented for the student to choose from. Students can create their own design.
Kit includes:
pre-cut basswood puzzle; 80, 120, 220 and 400 grit sandpaper; a sketch sheet of the puzzle and pattern to practice decorating.
Student will need to supply:
some kind of black Sharpie or marker, and, possibly, other colors of Sharpies or markers.
After the puzzle has been sanded and is very smooth the student can decorate the stand-up bear puzzle using a black Sharpie or colored markers (or, colored sharpies.) Below are some photos of ideas beginning with the basic black Sharpie eye and nose to some more detailed color ideas. Feel free to be creative with the decorating. Try to make it look nice so it is something you would want to display or have a child play with. The kit includes a sheet of paper with the pattern for you to sketch your ideas and practice decorating. Have fun!
