Since the start of my teaching career, I have been passionate in my commitment to three things: inspiring students’ interest/use of technology, fostering positive and caring relationships among all students and maximizing individual student performance.
I am a dedicated professional and continuously looking to better myself and my practices in the classroom. Learning doesn't have a calendar it follows or take days off, which is why I promote an attitude of "life long learning" in the classroom.
I love to challenge students and pose realistic situations for them to solve independently or with a group. Problem solvers are necessary and in high demand for the future of our world. Innovative thinkers and communication skills will set students apart, propel discoveries, and lead to success no matter what field of study or career path they choose. I want my students to know that they have something unique to bring to this world and help them gather the courage to bring it out.
My professional career is only in its seventh year, but I have learned many valuable lessons. Some areas where I have learned the most are: working with a team (collaboration), being open to change (flexibility), data collection, assessment calibration and creating a safe & caring place for students to grow. I have much to learn and experience in the years to come but I'm genuinely excited about the challenges that await.
