Due to changes in scheduling, this week will be the last week of NEW assignments. While the main focus is to take the I-Ready diagnostic, there is a 10-point extra-credit assignment with the Pythagorean Theorem listed below. Parents: please do not help your student while he/she is taking the diagnostic, as it is a type of take-home test. I will be grading it on completion, not on accuracy, meaning if you do it (and take your time) you will get all the points for the assignment. Make sure you contact me if you have any questions, but you will get a response faster if you contact me during streaming hours.
Check your grade on PowerSchool. If you are missing any assignments, you have until NEXT Wednesday (5/13) to turn them in. If you turn something in late before then, you must let me know via email at mtandy@strasburg31j.com , since neither system notifies me of any late work you might have turned in. After NEXT Wednesday (5/13), grades are finalized. No exceptions.
This week, we will be continuing to work with the Pythagorean Theorem! As a heads-up, next week will be a significant step-up in difficulty, so make sure that you thoroughly understand this week’s topic. Make sure you contact me if you have any questions, but you will get a response faster if you contact me during streaming hours.
(These should look familiar…)
This week, we will be starting on one of the most famous concepts in all of math: The Pythagorean Theorem! Make sure you contact me if you have any questions, but you will get a response faster if you contact me during streaming hours.
This week is the last week of Topic 6 (part 2)! Strangely enough, this topic ends on an easier note, but this will give people a chance to catch up on anything that they are missing. Make sure you contact me if you have any questions, but you will get a response faster if you contact me during streaming hours.
This week, we’ll continue with Topic 6 (part 2), but this time we will be looking at internal and external angles of a triangle. Make sure you contact me if you have any questions, but you will get a response faster if you contact me during streaming hours. Asking for help is highly recommended for this section, because some of the algebra-related questions can be pretty tough!
This week, we’ll continue with Topic 6 (part 2), which begins with exploring the relationships between angles created by a "transversal" (a line that cuts across a pair of parallel lines). Make sure you contact me if you have any questions, but you will get a response faster if you contact me during streaming hours.
Welcome to a very strange 4th quarter! Through the end of the year (unless we return earlier), I will post your assignments for the week on Monday, and the due date for those assignments will be the following Friday at midnight. If you are struggling at any point during the quarter, stop by the Twitch stream on the homepage of this website 11:00AM-1:00PM Monday-Friday for immediate help.
To start us off and make sure you are reading directions, your first assignment (due THIS FRIDAY 3/27) is…
