Due to changes in scheduling, this week will be the last week of NEW assignments. While the main focus is to take the I-Ready diagnostic, many students are missing assignments, so it would be wise to go back and do them. Parents: please do not help your student while he/she is taking the diagnostic, as it is a type of take-home test. I will be grading it on completion, not on accuracy, meaning if you do it (and take your time) you will get all the points for the assignment. Make sure you contact me if you have any questions, but you will get a response faster if you contact me during streaming hours.
If you are missing any assignments, you have until NEXT Wednesday (5/13) to turn them in. If you turn something in late before then, you must let me know via email at mtandy@strasburg31j.com , since neither system notifies me of any late work you might have turned in. After NEXT Wednesday (5/13), grades are finalized. No exceptions.
This week, we will be continuing our brief look into statistics. Since there is only 1 Pearson assignment, this gives you a chance to catch up on any I-Ready lessons that you have missed. Make sure you contact me if you have any questions, but you will get a response faster if you contact me during streaming hours.

This week, we will be moving onto a brief look into statistics! There are 2 Pearson assignments, but they are both much quicker than the algebra from the last couple of weeks. Make sure you contact me if you have any questions, but you will get a response faster if you contact me during streaming hours.

This week, we will be continuing with two step equations, but now you might have to distribute first! There are also a couple problems on HW 5-3 that include fractions or decimals. Make sure you contact me if you have any questions, but you will get a response faster if you contact me during streaming hours.
Many of you forgot to do the I-Ready lesson for last week, and your grade now reflects that.
This week, we’ll be continuing with the idea of “DO THE SAME THING TO BOTH SIDES (of the equals sign)”, but this time, we’re adding another step. So you will have to do the same operation (+,-,*,/) to both sides, and then do another operation to both sides Make sure you contact me if you have any questions, but you will get a response faster if you contact me during streaming hours.
This week, we’ll start with something that will be a HUGE part of every math class you take from now on: “DO THE SAME THING TO BOTH SIDES (of the equals sign).” Make sure you contact me if you have any questions, but you will get a response faster if you contact me during streaming hours.
Welcome to a very strange 4th quarter! Through the end of the year (unless we return earlier), I will post your assignments for the week on Monday, and the due date for those assignments will be the following Friday at midnight. If you are struggling at any point during the quarter, stop by the Twitch stream on the homepage of this website 11:00AM-1:00PM Monday-Friday for immediate help.
To start us off and make sure you are reading directions, your first assignment (due THIS FRIDAY 3/27) is…
Remember that your login information is at the bottom of this page. Those of you who are new to HMS will have to complete your I-Ready diagnostic test. The good news is that I will count that as your lesson for this week. The bad news is that it is a long test that usually takes about 1 hour.
