Tyler T. Tamblin is a graduate of the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam with a concentration in voice and working on his Masters in Music Education from Boston University. I have always been inspired by music and has always felt that music should be taught to the next generation. I graduated from Onondaga Community College with my associates in music with honors.
In my teaching career, I would help my students with knowledge and skills by teaching all different types and genres of music. Whether it is creating, responding, connecting, or even performing music, they can explore the types of fields that they want to learn more about. I would also include technology in the class to explore different types of resources they can use to create music. With cultivating each student, I would let my students pick genres that they are interested in and learn why this genre was invented and evolved over time. My goals for my students is to have them divulge into different cultures of music, having them make music on their own, and knowing how to look and hear a piece and be able to respond and analyze it.
“Music Education opens doors that help children pass from school into the world around them- a world of work, culture, intellectual activity, and human involvement. The future of our nation depends on providing our children with a complete education that includes music.” by Gerald Ford.
