TK Animals Around the World

For this TK unit, I created videos from Google Earth. Students would come into the classroom ready for their "flight" to the country we were visiting for the week. Students would stand in a line with their numbered boarding passes awaiting for their seat numbers to be called. Once their numbers were called, they were to find their seat number on the chairs arranged in the front of the classroom (set up in rows like an airplane). I would play the Google Earth screencasted video, which always started at their school, and ended up at the country of the week. Once we landed upon a country, we would learn about the animals we would be studying for the week.
