A short arrangement I wrote for my ES choirs!
This is an overview of the JRI Curriculum that we've adapted to use for our 4th grade year. In here, there is a QR code you can scan to access our monthly breakdown and our contact information. Take a looky look! This was done by myself and Charlyne Olick (@musicwithmisso).
This is a literature review I wrote in graduate school that I submitted for UPDATE: Applications for Research in Music Education. I wasn't able to provide the edits needed in order to have it published (they wanted more sources and I was moving/getting married/AND interviewing/starting a new job), but it paints a fairly recent portrait of the research currently out there (as of August 2022) in regards to financial equity and instrumental music programs.
An arrangement of London Bridge with opportunities to improvise over the BL in mm. 17-24.
"Come on Time" Visual

Super simple arrangement of Mary Had a Little Lamb that students can improvise over! I typically do WW on Melody, Brass on BL, switch, everyon on BL for solos, and then everyone back to the melody for the big finish!
I laminate these and put them in my kids' folders so they have a mini-guide for when they're working on a piece of music at home! Two fit on one sheet of paper!
I created a set of resources of different ways to engage beginning musicians to performing in nontraditional ways with minimal experience. These are creative, student-led, and cooperative ideas that will keep students playing throughout their first years of band/orchestra. These are the SUPPLEMENTAL materials to the presentation, which is located in the first folder of this file. Mini lesson pans are included. This presentation was given at the NYSSMA Winter Conference in 2023.
