Over Christmas Break 2012, my wife and I visited the California ScienCenter in Los Angeles. The Center is the permanent home for the Space Shuttle Endeavour. You can see it up close, walk all around it, and even underneath it! It's really cool. If you're ever in Los Angeles, you should go see the center and the shuttle.

The Shuttle Endeavour is in a large building located next to the Los Angeles Coliseum!
You get to walk all around the shuttle and even under it too!
What an amazing exhibit to see!
I've also visited the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas and there they have a replica of a space shuttle on a NASA jet that you can walk through!
This is what the cockpit of a space shuttle looks like to its astronaut pilots! This replica was used for astronaut training!
At the Johnson Space Center, you get to see one of the Mission Control rooms where they monitor ALL NASA space missions!
The Johnson Space Center also has a full-sized Saturn V rocket...the exact kind that took astronauts to the moon! This one was, at one time, ready to be launched into space!
And, the Johnson Space Center also had a large moon rock that you could actually touch!
The Johnson Space Center is a phenomenal place to visit. If you're ever in the Houston area...GO SEE IT!!
I've also had the opportunity to visit the Mashall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama - where Saturn V Rocket inventor, Wernher Von Braun had his office!
They have a replica Moon Rover you can sit in!
You can "dress up" in a space suit!
In their Rocket Park, they have a replica Space Shuttle on top of an ACTUAL fuel tank and booster rockets!
Inside their artifact building, they also have a full-size Saturn V Rocket. This one of only THREE facilities that still have a Saturn V Rocket. Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX and Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, FL are the other two.
I even got to spend some time talking with four NASA engineers who worked on the Saturn V rocket! THAT WAS AWESOME!!
Here's a replica of the Mercury Space Capsule!
This is Wernher Von Braun's office that he had at the Marshall Space Flight Center. He had a model of every rocket he helped design in his office! The Saturn V model was so tall, he had to remove a ceiling panel to display it!
There are SO MANY artifacts in this museum, it's amazing! This is the Command Module from Apollo 16!
Outside the Saturn V Rocket Hall, they have another FULL SIZE replica of the Saturn V Rocket standing straight up so you can see just how tall the rocket was! HUGE!!
At the Marshall Space Flight Center, they control the International Space Station .... and here they are doing their job on the tour!
Scroll through the pictures to see Space Shuttle Atlantis, Mercury Rocket, Saturn 1B Rocket, Saturn V rocket, Astronaut History, and more!
