About Me:

I’m native to the Pacific Northwest, so I love hiking outdoors as much as I love curling up with a good cup of coffee and a book!

I grew up in Puyallup (home of the Washington State Fair), and I attended the University of Washington for my bachelor’s degree in both English and communications. I went on to earn my master’s from Pacific Lutheran University, and have been teaching for the last three years in the Bethel School District. My husband and I moved to the Eastside this summer, and have been enjoying opportunities to explore the culture and scenery of this area.

I love being an ELA teacher because I believe that good communication skills are the foundation for every student’s future - regardless of what career or life path they choose. I’m excited that you are in my class, and I look forward to learning with you this year!
