My Debate Techniques

If you want to debate me, then let me just warn you. 

I want you to win. 

I will steel man all your claims. 

However, let me "marandize" you: "everything you say, can and will be used against you in this debate". 

I will let you speak as much as possible. 

Just in order to catch you in a slip of a tongue. 

I will then exploit it. 

And expose the flaw in your position. 

Why do I (and the police) use this method? 

The reason why this technique is so powerful is because, if you bring up evidence, then I don't need to bring my evidence. And I don't have to go through the process of you vetting my evidence. If you make a statement, then I can just assume it is true, and try and use it to show that your position is unscientific or illogical.  If I assume that my position is correct, then any and all evidence should be on the side of truth or science. And that would include your evidence just as much as mine. 

And now you know why you should always NOT SPEAK TO THE POLICE. lol. 

My purpose though is not to win. 

My purpose is to lose. 

That is, if the truth is on your side. 

My purpose is to let truth win. 

Be it on your side, my side, neither or a combination of both. 

I am a truth seeker. 

I am not here to hurt your feelings. 

I am not here to glee in your demise. 

I want us both to grow from our discussion. 

I want us both to enjoy this experience.
