Welcome to our 6th Grade Science adventure! 🚀 Get ready for a year filled with exciting discoveries and hands-on learning.
This isn't your typical sit-and-listen science class! We believe in learning by doing, so our class is super hands-on. You'll be building, experimenting, observing, and exploring all year long. Get ready to get your hands dirty and make some amazing discoveries!
We also use an inquiry-based approach. That means we won't just tell you the answers; we'll guide you to ask questions, investigate, and figure things out for yourselves. You'll develop critical thinking skills and learn how to truly think like a scientist.
Our curriculum is based on MI-Star, which focuses on real-world phenomena and engineering design. This means we'll be tackling exciting challenges and connecting what we learn in class to the world around us.
Beyond the classroom, we're incredibly proud of our Science Olympiad team! For the last four years, our team has consistently placed at the regional competition and has gone on to compete at the state tournament. It's a fantastic opportunity for students who love science to dive even deeper, challenge themselves, and work with teammates on fun and competitive projects. We'd love for you to consider joining us!
We're so excited for you to join our science family and embark on this amazing journey of discovery!
A dream come true...I was able to meet Bill Nye at the NSTA conference when I presented there in Indianapolis while in college.
My family. I have 4 beautiful girls that all attend Fremont Public schools. We enjoy family time, playing outside, and taking side by side rides.Â
