Joanna Nava

About Me: Hello everyone and welcome to my page. My name is Joanna Nava. I currently work as a substitute teacher for victor elementary school district. I have enjoyed being a substitute teacher for 7 years and i cannot wait until i can become a school counselor. I enjoy working with students and i want to help them plan for their future. My wanting to become a school counselor stemmed from me wishing i had someone to help guide me when i was in high school. 

My educational career started later in life and after i had my children. I got my Bachelor's degree in liberal arts from University of laVerne. I got my Masters in School Counseling from the Grand Canyon University. 

I live in a city that is growing and i want to help our community grow in a positive way. I think that can be done by preparing our children to become upstanding citizens who are educated, trained, or who have their own businesses. 

high school students are getting ready to transition into adulthood and most are not ready or prepared. I WANT TO HELP STUDENTS BE BETTER PREPARED.

In my spare time i like to read, spend time with my family, and go to my kids' sporting activities.
