My name is Meredith Gleason. 2020-2021 will be my third year at Saint Philip Prep! I have been a teacher and education professional since 2011 and have been working with children and families since 2008. Prior to joining the Saint Philip faculty, I taught at Success Academy Charter School in Harlem, NYC. I have also worked as a Managing Director at Huntington Learning Center in Englewood, NJ.
I believe all children can learn, and that is the responsibility of educators to ignite a love of learning in their students. I seek to understand my students holistically and plan lessons that will engage my students and spark their interests. I also believe that each and every child has valuable gifts that they share with the world around them. It is one of my greatest joys as a teacher to unlock those gifts, and help students discover and embrace those gifts for themselves.
When I am not at SPPS, you would most likely find me studying American Sign Language, as I am working towards my Teacher of Deaf Students credential and Interpreter Certification. I am also a member of Clarum Sonum, a community outreach choir based in Boonton, NJ.
