First Graders have touchscreen Chromebooks. This is a special feature because second grade and up will NOT have touchscreens.
These are 1-to-1 devices so the students will have their own computers to work on and use with care.
Seesaw is a secure online learning journal where children can create and upload their work to document their learning. Your child will add things like photos, videos, worksheets, drawings, and voice recordings to their Seesaw journal. I will also send parent messages and reminders through Seesaw, which will be another way of communication between home and school. Parents will receive an invite to Seesaw once the IT department in our district has it implemented at the beginning of school.
The purpose of Google Classroom is to streamline the process of sharing files between students and me.
If you need the class code to get into the google classroom, please email me.
Students will be using educational apps and websites to support their learning. Some of the apps and websites they will be using are Clever, Bookflix, Starfall, Epic, Vooks, Raz Kids, Zearn, IXL, etc. All apps and websites are approved by the school district.
