Tamara George has over 20 years' experience in the secondary ELA classroom. She has her Bachelor's degree in History with a minor in English from Texas Woman's University, has earned her Master's in Secondary Education from the University of North Texas, a Master's in English from East Texas A&M University, Commerce, and is currently completing her dissertation for a doctorate in Composition and Rhetoric. Mrs. George has worked with students at all levels, but has specialized in teaching English Language Arts in the secondary classroom. Aside from her full-time position as dual credit composition instructor and English department head, she also serves as a part-time adjunct professor at three local colleges.
Mrs. George is married to her high school sweetheart, and together they have five children and 6 beautiful grandchildren. Her favorite pastimes are reading, gardening, and playing with her dogs.
She is completely devoted to developing a love of lifelong learning in each and every student while helping them become successful, contributive members of society.
