From my experience thus far, audiophiles are a very easy way to spice up the way you deliver instructions as an educator. By using the site 'VoiceThread', I was easily able to create a free account, record my desires message, and save my the audio clip right to my desk top. Super easy! There are so many ways to use audiophiles in the classroom, however the first method that comes to mind is presentations! Growing up, I was shy and absolutely dreaded presenting in front of my peers! I would have loved to have the option to create an audiophile presenting on my topic, with the option of playing it to the class, or handing it in privately. An audiophile is a great alternative for students that becomes excessively stressed when it comes to presenting in front of peers. In doing this, students are still able to show what they know in a presentation format, however they can opt-out of the portion that makes them nervous - a win win situation for students and teachers! In terms of implementing this in an instructional matter, I think embedding audiophiles in online written instructions would be a great way to cater to all types of learning (visual, auditory, etc.) when engaging in online activities in the classroom. Doing this ensures students stay engaged by breaking up the portions of written material and instruction they are required to read/follow.
