My Teaching Career

This school year marks my 14th year in education and my fifth year teaching at Port Allegany Elementary.

I began my teaching career as a preschool teacher with Head Start. From there, I went on to teach fourth grade at Archbishop Walsh Academy. Before joining the Port Allegany Elementary family, I worked as a Reading Specialist at Beacon Light’s Custer City Private School.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching students across a variety of grade levels and ages. While I have enjoyed each of these experiences, I absolutely love teaching fifth grade at Port Allegany Elementary. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with my students each year and look forward to continuing to grow as an educator.

My Education

I graduated from Smethport Area High School in 2009. I then attended college at Edinboro University and graduated in 2013. Upon graduation, I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I returned to Edinboro for my Master's Degree in Reading Education, and graduated in 2017.
