Welcome to First Grade!

This week:

We will be continuing with routines and working on our skills. We have been working on our classroom rules and working on rule number 1 - Follow Directions Quickly. We have been trying to earn pieces of Mr. Potato Head for each time we follow directions quickly the first time.

We have also been working on learning about being responsible citizens and good choices/bad choices. The kids have been doing a great job knowing the good choices. We have also started our first math unit that is working with tens and place value. Currently we are diving into teen numbers and understanding that teen numbers have a group of ten and then extra ones.
