Meet Mrs. Wheeler

Welcome parents, I am thrilled to be working with your child this year.  I have been fortunate to be a part of the South School community for 10 years now.  With a master's degree in elementary education from UNH, I stared my career at South working as a fourth grade para-educator.  I immediately became passionate about this specific grade level and have been working with my team of teachers for 8 years.  Prior to teaching fourth grade, I also taught 2nd and 5th grade in Whitman-Hanson.  In fourth grade, the content is engaging and exciting to teach! I always admire how enthusiastic the students are about the material.  This is a year where friendships are explored, new ones are formed, and previous ones are fostered.  It is the age where students are taking risks in their academics, and they discover their own  learning styles and strengths.  I strongly believe in teaching to each child and engaging my students in hands-on learning.  I am passionate about utilizing technology and love keeping my classroom moving and forever changing.  I love what I do each day, and I'm committed to making this year a memorable and positive experience for your child!
