Union Park Counselor
Hello Union Park Pioneers! I am so excited to be part of the Union Park family as your counselor. This will be my 19th year in education and my fifth year serving as the UPE counselor. During my 14 years in the classroom I taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. Most of those years were spent in 5th grade. I have served many leadership roles in my previous campus and even supported our administration team in writing curriculum. As a classroom teacher one of my favorite things to do was buddy up with a classroom in Kindergarten to promote reading, cooperative activities and service.
I received my B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Woman’s University. I earned my M. Ed. from Lamar University in School Counseling. I hold a variety of different certifications; EC-4 and 4-8 Generalist, Special Education, ESL, Theater Arts, and EC -12 Counseling.
I am so excited to continue to help our students grow at Union Park Elementary. My job is to be there to help whenever the need arises. I support our pioneers and teach them skills to help them succeed academically, social and emotionally both at school and beyond. I will provide guidance lessons to all students.

This is a calendar of topics cover by month for your reference. Should you have any questions, please contact me.
This year, all guidance classes will be held on Thursdays during PLC days with the entire grade level. Students will receive guidance lessons every three weeks, led by me and supported by the specials team. This new structure allows me to see students more frequently in grades 3–5 in a guidance setting.
Each session will include a 15–20 minute whole-group lesson, followed by 20 minutes of small group discussions and activities facilitated by myself and the specials team. This format will help us build stronger cooperative skills and promote teamwork within each grade level.
We will follow the school PLC schedule. To be posted Soon.
