Hello, Union Park Pioneers!

I am so excited to begin another school year as your school counselor at Union Park Elementary! This marks my 20th year in education and my sixth year serving as the counselor at Union Park.

Before becoming a school counselor, I spent 14 years in the classroom teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades, with most of those years in 5th grade. During that time, I also served in a variety of leadership roles, including supporting our administration team with curriculum development. One of my favorite experiences as a classroom teacher was partnering with a kindergarten class to promote reading, cooperative learning, and service to others.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Woman's University and my Master of Education in School Counseling from Lamar University. I hold certifications in EC–4 and 4–8 Generalist, Special Education, ESL, Theater Arts, and EC–12 School Counseling.

It is truly an honor to continue serving the students, families, and staff of Union Park Elementary. As your school counselor, my goal is to support every child's academic, social, emotional, and personal growth. Throughout the year, I provide individual counseling, small-group counseling, classroom guidance lessons, and resources for families to help students develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive both in school and beyond.

My door is always open. Whether a student needs a listening ear, encouragement during a difficult time, help solving a problem, or support in building new skills, I am here to help every step of the way. By working together, we can ensure every Pioneer feels supported, valued, and empowered to become the very best version of themselves.

I look forward to partnering with you for another wonderful year at Union Park Elementary. It's going to be a fantastic year!
