I live in Elkton, South Dakota with my husband Russ. In 2018, I graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in hospitality management. After college, I worked in Brookings with South Dakota State University Athletic Development. I assisted with gameday events and other donor related activities. Since the fall of 2019, I have worked at Flandreau Middle School as a special education paraprofessional. When I attended SDSU, I taught swimming lessons at the campus wellness center and was involved in a campus non-profit organization called State A Thon. The organization raises money for children at Sanford Children's Hospital. My time at SDSU fueled my passion for wanting to work with kids!
I went into K-12 education for a change of work pace and to try something new. While in Flandreau, I have worked alongside many influential teachers who have demonstrated the love for teaching. I am excited to continue my path of education at DSU and become a teacher myself!
