Gentle reminder ~ Mrs. Picarello has asked all students to be in SSCA uniform each day and has been letting us know throughout the school as she notices some students are not in compliance. She has also sent out a notice to all school families with more specific details about our school uniform. Thank you.

Thank you so much to the families who came to Back to School Night. It was lovely to meet you and share important information about 2nd grade at SSCA this year.
Your child will be coming home each day with their SSCA folder. It has important papers specifically sent home on Wednesday (BTSN) in the folder for you to read and some to sign and return soon. The folder will be going home each day and I ask that you send it back to school each day as well. The planner will also be coming home each day and returned as well. Thank you.
I will be checking my school email during the day as I am able but may not reply right away, as I am teaching your children. It may be after dismissal when I'm back in touch. If you reach out in the evening and I miss it, I'll be back to you ASAP in the morning. Thank you.
My email address is: jpaguaga@stsebastianacademy.org.
A few quick essentials:
Children should arrive at school by 7:50 AM beginning Wednesday, 9/3 and each school day following, as we begin with Morning Assembly each day at 8.
On early dismissal days, we dismiss at 12:10.
Second grade dismisses onto Woodside Avenue by the small gate from the school parking lot (Exit C)
Kindly arrive on time so your child is not worried. If for some reason you have an emergency and need to reach me ASAP, please reach out to the school office and they will get a message to me. Thank you. We will do our best to be out on time for dismissal for you, but on occasion, something pops up right around dismissal that may delay us a couple of minutes. Thank you for your patience.
Our office number is 718-429-1982 or 429-5502.
Please check this class Google Site regularly throughout the school year, especially the newsletter for a quick check for homework, messages, and any details that are too much for the students to write in their planners about the upcoming week. You will be able to see what your children are learning in each subject, each week, as we progress through the year, by clicking on the Subjects & Learning Targets tab on the top of this page.
Please buy Con-Tact Clear Transparent Paper to cover your child's soft covered, practice books; for example: Math, Science, Social Studies, ELA/Reader, Religion. You can order it on Amazon or shop at Staples or any store that sells office supplies. I will send home a few books at a time to have covered. Books do not hold up well for the entire school year when they are not covered so I thank you in advance for doing this. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Mrs. J. Paguaga
