Class Procedures
Technology use in the classroom pertains to students chromebooks. Students may use chromebooks when instructed, otherwise they should be shut and put to the side or charging at the back table.
No other technology devices are to be used in the classroom.
Appropriate technology use includes staying on task and only using technology for what the teacher has instructed. Chromebooks are not to be used at home for anything other then homework.
When entering the classroom we walk, stay at a level 1-2, and read the board so students know what is expected of them.
When arriving late to class, students should have a note from the office and need to bring it to me. Students will then be told what they need to do to be caught up.
Turning in late assignments: you will not be docked on points but after two weeks a zero will be put in the gradebook if you still have not submitted the assignment.
Group work: students will always fill out an evaluation of their group members once the work has been completed. This ensure that I will know who actually worked and if everyone participated.
When accessing classroom materials, students are expected to treat the materials like their own. Once students are finished using the materials, they need to put them back where they got them.
We have bathroom monitors, students need to behave in the bathroom and if they are not, the bathroom monitors are expected to let the me know.
When in the classroom, students are expected to actively engage and participate in whatever we are doing.
During dismissal, students need to clear their desk, pack their book bag, clean the floor near their desk, stack their chair, and wait patiently behind their desk until I have asked them to get in bus line order.
When students are absent, they need to check with me and also the back bin that has all absent work in it. Students have as many days as they were absent to make up their work.
