Mrs. Perry's Sampling of Modern Classroom Creations

I completed a 6-week training course of over 30 hours to learn how and why the modern classroom experience will help students learn. In the training, I learned how to make videos to help students progress at their speed and level along with the purpose of providing video lessons for students who may be ill or on vacation and do not want to fall behind in their schooling. I have found the videos have also helped the parents who need a refresher to help their students with their homework.

Videos for Canvas Elementary Course. The modern classroom provides students who are on vacation or ill or just home on quarantine with the opportunity to stay caught up in the classroom with mini-lessons.

This video is a vocabulary lesson and refresher for students who still struggle with the parts of a fraction. It includes both stacked fractions and slash fractions.

This video contains a review of Identifying fractions parts. There are multiple practice problems to determine the fraction you see or the fraction that is missing.

This video contains a mini-lesson on adding and subtracting fractions with like denominators.

This video contains a mini-lesson on finding the LCM (least common multiple) in order to create a common denominator. This step is necessary to use subtraction or addition of fractions with uncommon denominators.
