I'm Lisa Perry, an Elementary Educator from Maeser, Utah.

My name is Lisa Marie Perry. I have been married for 8 years to my current husband. I have two smart, beautiful daughters. My oldest daughter is married and has two handsome boys who are 2 and 1 years old. My greatest joy is being a grandma. My youngest daughter is an Angel in Heaven; she passed away from a DIPG brain tumor at the age of 7, in 2009. I love my family and enjoy every day that I am with them. 

I love to hunt, fish, camp, target shoot, and sit by the campfire. I enjoy crafting and gardening when I have free time. I love my teaching job and can't imagine doing anything else. I love spending time with my family and friends. 

I have been teaching for 14 years. I received my degree from WGU in 2010. I have spent time teaching in all grades between 2nd-7th grade. I love my students and love to help them learn, grow, and explore the world. Learning is an adventure and a journey we take together. It is hands-on and engaging. I believe students learn more when they are involved in the learning rather than being observers. I also include real-world scenarios in my teaching so students can validate the learning in the classroom. 

I have been trained in multiple software programs such as Nearpod, Canvas, I-Ready, Acadience, Savass, Code.org, Scratch, Reflex, Prodigy, Dreamscape, Google, and Microsoft Office, along with Adobe CS, Mastery Connect, and Doodley Design. I love using and learning new technology. I have even spent time being trained in using AI in the classroom. 

I have also received my 4th- 6th grade Life Skills Training, Leader in Me, Modern Classroom, as well as my CPR and First Aid.  I have my Mathematics Level 1 Endorsement. I have completed my Reading Level 1 Endorsement courses. I have received my Coaching Endorsement and my Ed Tech Endorsement. I also have my Utah Professional Educator Licensure.
