School Counseling Goal:
The goal of the School Counseling Program at Manchester Middle School is to provide comprehensive services to all students, focusing on student success. The program will address the academic, college/career, and personal/social development of all students through individual, small group, large group, and school-wide programs. Through these comprehensive program will assist all children in reaching their highest potential and allowing them to feel confident in their ability to succeed in all areas of life.

Students may see the counselor for small group and individual counseling to assist with a variety of concerns and problems including:

Types of programs:
The Middle School Counseling Program is designed to focus on improving the school climate and increasing academic performance. School wide programs focus on Bullying Prevention, Tolerance, and Respect. College Awareness, Goal Setting, and Conflict/Resolution.

For Parents:
Parents are free to call the counselor's office at anytime for a meeting if you have an academic, social, or personal concern about your child. The Counseling Office will help to arrange a parent-teacher conference, small group or individual counseling, as well as, outside referrals for intervention.
