Dyslexia Awareness

Dyslexia is a learning disability that I am very passionate about. I advocate for this learning disability more than any other, because I have dyslexia. I wasn't diagnosed until I was in the seventh grade. I struggled with learning all through elementary and even in high school. My mother would till you even after I was diagnosed it was hard to find someone that know how to teach a child with dyslexia. When my son was in the first grade he was diagnosed with dyslexia. I advocated for him, because he was going to get the best help. This is why I advocate for dyslexia. 

Dyslexia is a specific learning disability that affects a child's ability read, spell, and write at the word level. Kids with Dyslexia have trouble hearing the sounds in spoken words.
