I am Mrs. Adams. I am on my 12th year of teaching. Prior to teaching, I was in the United States Navy where I worked as a Gunner’s Mate. I was in charge of the Vertical Launch System (missiles) and small arms weapons. After graduating college in 2013 with my BA, I moved from Cincinnati, Ohio to Las Vegas, NV to start my teaching journey. In Vegas, I taught 3rd, and 5th grade. 

I met now husband, Austen out there and we decided to move to VA to be closer to my family.  I taught 4th and 5th while at Leesylvania and then moved into Gifted last year. I am also working on my ESOL endorsement right now. I love learning new things and ways to help me be a better teacher and to make sure all students feel included and welcomed.

I have 2 brothers and 4 nieces. I love getting to see them and spend time with my family. I enjoy hiking, canoeing, reading, trying new food places, and traveling. My husband, Austen, and I have been together for almost 10 years, and married for 3 and a half. I have a 14 year old dog, Chip. While I don't have any children of my own, I would do anything for my nieces and Chip!
