***Charleston Wraps Fundraiser Ends Friday***
Room Parents are the bridge between families, teachers, and the PTO. Each classroom has one or two Room Parents who help build community, organize class events, and make it easier for teachers to focus on teaching.
They volunteer their time to keep families informed, coordinate classroom needs, and create moments of connection throughout the school year.
Typical Room Parent roles include:
Coordinating classroom celebrations and seasonal projects.
Organizing sign-ups for supplies, snacks, and volunteers.
Helping with Teacher Appreciation Week or special classroom recognition days.
Communicating reminders or updates from teachers or the PTO.
Welcoming new families and helping them feel included.
Supporting simple behind-the-scenes tasks (copying, laminating, or helping prep materials).
Room Parent Goal:
To strengthen connection and communication among families, teachers, and the school community — in a fun, supportive, low-pressure way.
