At the end of each chapter, we will take a test that covers the entire chapter. Please make sure to take notes because you are allowed to make an outline and use it on the test. The outline must be in your own handwriting, but it can be in pen / color / highlighter / pencil - however you want to organize it. If the outline is not handwritten, you will not be able to use it on the test. If the outline is well done, and full with good notes you will be given a bonus points on the test for making a outline.
Every student is responsible for bringing a report about a Saint of his or her choice. The report should include:
1) A picture of this person that can be printed from a website, as a cover page - 5 points
2) A quote from this person – 5 points
3) A brief text explaining why the person and the quote were chosen, where this person was born and when, and what this person did that made him or her an important example for all of us. (Must be at least one page, broken down into paragraphs. Each paragraph must have at least 5 sentences, Intro, Body, Conclusion) – 30 points.
Students will read the paper to the class. Or students can present their paper using a power point consisting of six slides.
The paper must be typed, in 12-point font, and single spaced, Times New Roman. Papers will be graded as a test, and this will reflect in the third quarter.
Need a few minutes to calm down and breathe? Check out this 3 minute retreat offered by Loyola Press.
3-Minute Retreats invite you to take a short prayer break right at your computer. Spend some quiet time reflecting on a Scripture passage.
Knowing that not everyone prays at the same pace, you have control over the pace of the retreat. After each screen, a Continue button will appear. Click it when you are ready to move on. If you are new to online prayer, the basic timing of the screens will guide you through the experience.
