Here is the link for the math rap video optional project
Remember: 4 people to a group no exceptions (you can use the whole grade)
Keep the lyrics the same
Everyone must dance but not everyone has to sing
Everyone must contribute
This is to be worked on out of school
DUE OCTOBER 15 we will watch in class
If your remake of the video is worthy then: No IXL for the remainder of the quarter, and points back on a quiz or test already taken.
For grading purposes, my timetable is 1 week. Many times I am able to grade faster than that, but please allow up to 1 week to accommodate for snow days, sick days, or any other unforeseen circumstances. Below shows the breakdown of how each category is weighted:
Classwork (Participation and notebook checks): 15%
Homework: 20%
Quizzes: 30%
Tests: 35%
Corrections may be completed for tests only, or on a rare occasion I will allow it on a quiz! Please have corrections on two separate sheets of paper.
The first sheet: New Answers and reasons only. You must explain where you went wrong on the test to demonstrate that you understand the material. These are free points back, you need to earn them.
The second sheet: All your work for the problems you are correcting.
Please staple the two sheets of paper to the front of your test (The answer page on top).
IXL is a weekly grade. You must complete 25 minutes of IXL every week (unless told otherwise), and it must pertain to what we are doing in the Chapter. You have from 12:01am Monday morning until 11:59pm Sunday night to complete your 25 minutes. Please go to 'Analytics' within IXL to make sure that you have completed the full assignment before logging out. Anything less than 25 minutes will be counted as incomplete, and will result in a 0 for that week. This will be factored into your homework grade.
