You don't need to use sourdough for a fine bread, but why not take it to a whole new level? After reading countless and often complex and conflicting articles and after I experimented with 20+ recipes and bakes, here is a sourdough recipe I made. It works perfectly every time using the simplest and easiest process and tools and it costs less than $1 per gorgeous and delicious loaf. While your colony is growing, go ahead an try it with commercial yeast for practice.All the photos are mine except the ones where my hands were ... sticky.
